Description

Variety: riesling

A non-vintage 100% Riesling from the Babušák (aka Achtele) estate with a subtle effervescence from the secondary fermentation in bottle.

They put it to the test for the first time in 2016, using fresh fermenting Riesling must to kick-start the re-fermentation of a 2015 vintage still wine from the same site. It was already so good that hardly any bottles made it outside the winery. Just a few were shared with friends at Michelin's La Dégustation in Prague.

The first official release was based on the 2018 and 19 vintages and appeared in late 2020; the current release in 2023 blends with the 2020 and 2019.

Nestarec wanted to reflect this stellar, introspective character on the bottle. He found some beautiful historical NASA images - he's always loved those - and had them featured on his wines. And now you can taste one of them.
