Intense sparkly orange colour, nice aroma immediately after opening. Strong tannin, medium acidity, dry wine. The wine is full-bodied and robust with a high content of natural phenolics and smooth tannin, resulting in a rich flavour and distinctive aroma. Aromas of dried fruits, ripe pears, lychee and meadow flowers. Non-aggressive acidity that combines well with the tannin. Although dry as tinder, there is an unobtrusive, subtle sweetness in the mouth after drinking. Fruity long aftertaste. Great ageing potential. Have a Georgian dish of khachapuri with cheese or spicy sweet and sour Asian dishes like curry with it.

Grapes: Kisi (Qisi)

Kisi comes from Kakheti. It ripens before Rkatsiteli, usually in the last 2 weeks of September. Although almost extinct at the turn of the century, kisi has made a comeback in recent years and is a great example of what sparks this interest: orange wine.
