When opened, the aroma is definitely not chardonnay-like and it is not very distinctive or appealing. The colour is an intense orange to dark amber. First sip - not much. This wine really needs time after opening, and if you give it time, you will experience a big transformation. Open and drink the next day or let it decant for at least an hour. The wine offers an intense experience with only 12% alcohol. It is dry, juicy, has medium acidity and good tannin. On the palate, apples, minerals, grapefruit, almonds. At a higher temperature, its expression becomes even more intense. If this would be too much, serve the wine cool to undercooled. It leaves a pleasant mouthfeel, with a little bitterness in the aftertaste. It doesn't taste like a convex chardonnay, but it has a lot in common with the orange naturals. Easily drinkable. Have it with sea bass with buttery vegetables or lightly spiced vegetarian dishes or semi-hard cheeses. No added sulphites.

Description

Dry organic orange wine from Chardonnay. Eight weeks on the mash, like a red wine (hence the orange colour) and then aged in wooden barrels. It is bottled unfiltered to retain the fullness of its aromas. A completely natural wine that also offers a special taste. It is fascinating how this wine presents itself differently with increasing contact with the air, but always pleasantly: quite dry, delicately fruity, fragrant with notes of apple, citrus and a little toast or brioche. Medium body in the mouth with a lovely balance, fine acidity, also tropical fruit, apricots and a little orange after aeration.

Pairs well with: best on its own, but also fish dishes or lightly spiced vegetarian dishes and cheeses, sea bass. Not recommended for strong dishes.
