The colour is a vivid golden-orange, and at first sniff and sip right after opening the bottle it is obvious that the wine was fermented typically for Georgia with leaves and twigs, which gives it a typically earthy and grassy aroma. Sweet fruity aromas of 'pins' and white flowers, with herbs added after a while in the glass. The tannin here is moderate for a Georgian wine, medium acidity. The flavour also reflects the ageing method and there are grassy and earthy notes in addition to the yellow fruit. Those who like light fruity wines probably won't enjoy much here. Have some spring rolls with it.

Description

The unique "terracing method" leads to a delicate and powerful orange wine. This is reminiscent of hazelnut cake, quince jelly, almond paste and candied apricot. It smells sweet, but the wine is completely dry. With a moderate alcohol percentage and a bit of tannin in the aftertaste.

Pairs well with: bressaola, Georgian badridschani (stuffed aubergine with nut paste), lamb pelmeni, spring rolls
