Lighter orange colour. Aromas of orange peel, caramelised pear, peach and rose. Pour yourself a good glass so that it lasts a long time and has a chance to mellow in the glass. It's a highly variable wine and if you don't like it on your first sip, put the glass away and come back to it in half an hour. Suitable for 'orange' beginners. After half an hour in the glass, the wine will have an appealing fruity aroma. It is easy to drink, has soft tannin, a pleasant acidity and a smooth and tasty bitterness in the aftertaste. It gives a fresh impression and may pearl slightly when opened. Have quacamole with it.

Šumenjak

Šumenjak je rodinný statek v Jakobském dole, 17 km od Mariboru. Obdělávají 14 hektarů půdy a kromě vinařství, které je jejich hlavní činností, se věnují také včelařství, lihovarnictví a chovu krav. Dnes jsou jejich výrobky zastoupeny po celém Slovinsku i v zahraničí, protože v posledních letech tvrdě pracovali na kvalitě a zviditelnění značky.

Při výrobě vína je zajímají především vinice, protože chtějí, aby mikroklima, půda a práce dodaly vínu osobitý charakter. Vinice nejsou hnojené, nepoužívají herbicidy ani syntetické ochranné prostředky. Zatížení vinic je nízké. Sklízí zdravé hrozny odpovídající zralosti. Hrozny macerují v závislosti na odrůdě a poté spíše sledují kvašení (než aby ho řídili) a zrání vína, aby zajistili co nejpřirozenější výrobu.

Grape variety: Chardonnay, Muscaris, Riesling, Sauvignier Gris

Vinification: a blend of organically grown Chardonnay, Riesling and Pinot Gris from soils of silt and sandstone. The grapes were hand-harvested and co-fermented on the skins using native yeasts in open vats, followed by 24 months of barrique barrel aging. Unpurified, unfiltered.
